Mini Bane

Mini Bane

Another mini villain for mini Batman to deal with.  Mini Bane is on the school wrestling team.  It doesn't matter if you aren't, he'll wrestle you anyway!  Especially if you don't want too.  He also really likes coke.  His special wrestling headgear lets him drink coke and wrestle at the same time.  When the sugar and caffeine kick in, this grappling terror is temporarily unstoppable!

Life Drawing: Bam!

These are all from yesterday.  I like this one.

I like the right hand.  The face...I don't know, the angle seems a bit off maybe?

Some OK stuff going on here.  Mixing it up with some China marker.

Legs are a bit big, but they've got some good structure to 'em.  Knees and everything!

He's Batman.

I like this one too.  That foot under the hip pose is a tough one to get right, but I think I was pretty close here.

Trying to work a bit more structure and anatomy in.

Top half is again a bit small here.  Like the feet though.  Next time...Next time!

Thoughts?  Feel free to let me know what you think is working or needs work.  Thanks!

Mini Mr. Freeze

Mini Mr. Freeze

Mini Batman needed an enemy.  Enter Mini Mr. Freeze.  This neighborhood menace wears a wetsuit pretty much all the time.  He plays in the pool for hours and never seems to get cold.  Sometimes he chills the water in the family fridge before filling up his water gun and water balloons.  His preferred attack is sneaking up on sunbathers, giving them a frigid soak, and then retreating back to the pool!

Batman-kid

If Batman was actually a mini kid.
He's not allowed to play with guns, but neither is the real Batman now that I think about it.  His Batcave consists of a whole bunch of paper, and he's a sharpshooter with Bat paper airplanes.

One of my drawings will be in a board game!

There was a fan art contest for the board game Summoner Wars a couple weeks back.  The idea was to redraw an existing character however you wanted.  There was a list of character names and pics on the website, so the challenge was figuring out the style to go with.  I was  looking for a good excuse/ motivation to practice cleaning up some of my drawings so I took a shot at it...and one of them won!

This is the one that won.  His name is Abua Shi.
He will be a real card at some point!
I tried to go for a superhero cartoon style and colouring here.

Yes they are all pencil crayon haha.  But watch out, I'm going to figure out this digital painting business sometime this year!

This guy is Mugglug.  This was my first attempt.
Don't think the mix of sort of realistic and cartoony worked so well here.

This guy is Oldin.  I thought he was pretty awesome.
I took a stab at drawing this one in an (obviously?) Simpsons style.  It was fun trying to figure out what to simplify so that it would work.

I knew I had something other than life drawings to post around here!

Life Drawing: August or so

Alright here are a few more summer life drawings.  Need to get that summer stuff outta here to make room for school starting back in a couple weeks.  Which on the plus side, means stuff on here other than just summer life drawing is on the way!  I think these are from three sessions.
